Malton food lovers festival

This was my first time visiting the Malton Food Lovers Festival, and I’m so glad I made the trip. Known as Yorkshire’s foodie capital, Malton really lived up to its name—with a fantastic mix of local produce, street food, and live cooking.

Even better, this year saw the exciting

launch of the Malton Grill & Smoke Festival, set in the meadows below The Talbot Hotel.

A brilliant new addition, especially for anyone interested in outdoor cooking and live-fire grilling.

As someone who designs outdoor kitchens and garden cooking spaces, I’m always on the lookout for new ideas—and this event was full of inspiration. I was especially pleased to meet two incredible Yorkshire-based outdoor cooking brands:

🔥 Flamery Live-Fire Grills – Their Asado-style fire pits and Japanese-inspired Konro table-top grills were really impressive. They’re beautifully made and would be a fantastic addition to any bespoke outdoor kitchen setup.

🔥 Beardsmoke Mini Smokers – These small but mighty portable smokers are ideal for gardens or camping trips. I’m looking forward to trying one out for some proper low and slow cooking.

It was a great day all round—fantastic atmosphere, passionate people, and loads of inspiration to take back into my own garden layout plans. I’ll definitely be back next year!
